Blog 3 - My favorite piece of technology

 

Hello dear students.

I hope you are doing well. In today’s blog, I will describe my favorite technological device. If we look up at the definition, technology refers to processes and elements that help to solve a problem or that has a purpose or end for it.



Keep that in mind, I am going to talk about a technological devices that has helped me throughout the years:

 

 🌟 Whiteboard Markers 🌟

 

As a teacher, I must say that using whiteboard markers throughout the day is a daily must. I wouldn’t say this is my favorite technological device because it’s oh-wow-amazing-incredible-fantastic-etc. and it has multiple functions, but rather, it has helped me a lot throughout the working hours to make my teaching easier. Despite this, I do have a favorite brand of whiteboard markers:

 

These are the best: they are thick, they have different colours (besides these, I have found pink, yellow, orange and purple), and you can buy the ink instead the full whiteboard marker.

Since my job sometimes requires me to explain and write answers on a whiteboard while I am doing classes at the university, whiteboard markers are quite handy for these purposes. I would recommend students to use this item when they are solving problems with formulas or illustrating their ideas: it makes it easier to erase and correct things on a whiteboard rather than writing on a piece of paper; also, since these are useful on other surfaces as well (carton board, cardstock, butter paper, etc.), you can use it for crafts or handmade designs.

    I would never have thought of talking about blackboard markers, I find it very interesting that technology is as close as writing on the blackboard :)
